Our Riviera is a treasure trove of enchanting settings whose thousand-year history is shrouded in ancient legend: this is where Ulysses disembarked, managed to escape the Lestrigons and then spent years of love and oblivion with the Sorceress Circe; it is where Aeneas, the valiant warrior destined by fate to found Rome, finally came to rest.
Five minutes from the village, the whitewashed Sperlonga enchants visitors with its narrow streets and stairways leading up and down to the sea and charms them with the beauty of the Villa of the Emperor Tiberius.

A little further away by car, it is worth taking a long walk to the Roman port and the historic centre of Gaeta, with the famous Montagna Spaccata and the renowned Grotta del Turco, connected to countless legends.
Along the sea route, at the same distance but in the opposite direction, we come across the other pearls of the Riviera d'Ulisse: Terracina, with the Pisco montano, a cliff overhanging the sea cut to allow a coastal route for the Via Appia, and the Temple of Jupiter Anxur, symbol of the city situated on the summit of Monte Sant'Angelo.
A 10-minute drive away is Fondi, a historic town with shops, restaurants, meeting places and, dotted around the town centre, little architectural gems such as the majestic Baronial Castle, which hosted Italian Renaissance artists and men of letters at the court of Giulia Gonzaga.
